1、 Company Profile
Titan Wind Energy (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. was established in 2005 and successfully listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in December 2010, with a registered capital of 411.5 million yuan. The company has six production bases: Taicang Factory, Lianyungang Factory, Shenyang Factory, Baotou Factory, Taicang Port Area Offshore Wind Tower Factory, and European Factory. It is specialized in the production and sales of megawatt high-power wind power tower and related products, and is one of the world's largest wind power tower manufacturers.
The company has established a huge competitive advantage in the international wind power tower market through leading professional manufacturing technology, first-class process testing equipment, and strict quality management system. Since 2006, it has successively become a designated global wind tower supplier for world-class wind power equipment manufacturers such as GE, Vestas, and Siemens, with products sold to dozens of countries such as the United States, Canada, and Germany. 70% - 80% of the company's wind tower products are exported.
2、 Introduction to "Double Anti"
In December 2011, the United States launched an "anti-dumping" and "countervailing" investigation against Chinese application grade wind tower products. The United States Department of Commerce released the final determination of the "double anti-dumping" of wind tower products on December 18, 2012. The company's anti-dumping tax rate was 44.99% (the actual implemented tax rate was 34.33%), the countervailing tax rate was 34.81%, and the combined implemented tax rate was 69.14%.
In August 2013, Australia initiated an "anti-dumping" investigation against Chinese application grade wind tower products. On April 16, 2014, the Australian Anti dumping Commission made a final anti-dumping determination on application grade wind tower products originating in China, with the company's anti-dumping tax rate of 15.6%.
3、 2014 Work Report
As a fair trade early warning point for wind tower products in Suzhou, the company actively collected information about the overseas wind power industry, and mainly did the following work in 2014:
1. Jointly with the Ministry of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce for Machinery and Electronics, actively cooperate with relevant enterprises to participate in the response and defense of foreign "double anti-dumping" actions against the industry (Australian anti-dumping case).
2. Subscribe to relevant newspapers and industry information, timely grasp the policies of various countries in the wind power industry, and extract important information.
3. Timely release the latest warning information through the company's website, and regularly submit information reports to the competent department.
As a fair trade warning point for wind tower products in Suzhou, the company has played a positive role in responding to foreign trade frictions in the wind tower industry through its operation in 2014, but also found two shortcomings:
1. Information channels need to be strengthened. On the one hand, national policies in various countries have different attitudes towards the wind power industry, and how to collect effective information still requires more efforts by early warning personnel. On the other hand, no industry association has been established for wind tower products, making it difficult to collect information on industry imports and exports. Currently, it can only be concluded that the company is the largest exporter of wind tower products in China.
2. Information analysis capabilities need to be strengthened. Changes in international trade policies can be described as rapidly changing, greatly influenced by the political, economic, and geopolitical situations of various countries. If trade frictions can be detected and early warning can be provided, enterprises can prepare response plans as early as possible. The ability to analyze these information needs to be further strengthened.
4、 Outlook for 2015
With China becoming the world's second largest economy and largest exporter, increasing trade exchanges with other countries, and transforming from a trading power to a trading power, it is difficult to fundamentally reverse the increase in trade friction that China is facing in the short term.
As an early warning point for fair trade of wind tower products in Suzhou, the company will continue to attach great importance to dealing with trade frictions, actively cooperating and coordinating with the Ministry of Commerce, local commercial authorities, business associations, and wind tower industry enterprises involved in trade frictions, so as to avoid and reduce passive and significant losses caused by unexpected and hasty responses. Correctly understand the importance of early warning work, adhere to the mechanism of "industry based, government guidance, combination of industry organizations and enterprise participation", and make the fair trade early warning point for Suzhou Wind Tower products better and better.
